Benefits of Juicing Greens - Part 1

When juicing make sure you always include green leafy vegetables into your recipes.  I would like to share with you  a couple of reasons why:

Oxygen.. Oxygen.. Oxygen..

Yes we all know that we need it, and without it we can die in a matter of minutes.   But it goes deeper than that.  In order to experience true health where  the immune system is functioning properly we need to help the body defend itself.

Enter Chlorophyll….

That magic substance that converts the bad air into good air also is critical to our health.  Chlorophyll contains magnesium, when we have sufficient amounts of chlorophyll in our blood stream the body is able to convert the magnesium in our blood into iron which attracts…. you guessed it… oxygen!

There is research to show that when our cells have an abundance of oxygen they are able to ward off many diseases.  A healthy cell is able to take in and use oxygen to grow and support the body.  A cancerous cell is unable to absorb the oxygen.

Luckily, and perhaps no coincidence there are a vast array of greens to choose from.

If you are ready to explore and give your body the gift of live greens in your diet then experiment with the following greens in your juicing:

Spinach,
Lettuce
Celery
Asparagus,
Bell peppers,
Broccoli,
Brussels sprouts,

As you can see there are many ways to  introduce greens into your juicing.  As always if you are looking for a quick and easy way  to create  healthy delicious combinations of greens and other vitamin packed juice recipes, then I suggest you try the “Juice Suggester”.  It will save you time and help you create a greater variety in your juicing routine.

In part two I will share with you some of the other benefits of adding live healthy greens to your diet, and more green vegetables you can use with high amounts of chlorophyll.
